Kevin Black (Paul Gross) is a successful businessman and city slicker from Port Asbestos, who decides to move to Possum Lake to get away from it all. He purchases a cabin in Bluff Point (also called "Blood Point" due to the heavy mosquito population), and right at first he appears to have trouble adjusting to life in the country. (For example, at one point he tells a viewer he's going to heat his home with gas, not knowing that there is no natural gas pipeline in the area.)
